Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ka farmaan hai:
تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ لأَرْبَعٍ لِمَالِهَا وَلِحَسَبِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا وَلِدِينِهَا، فَاظْفَرْ بِذَاتِ الدِّينِ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكَ​
Tarjumah: Abu Hurairah Radhiallahu Anhu ne bayan kiya ke Nabi kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaaya, aurat se nikah chaar cheezon ki bunyaad par kiya jaata hai, us ke maal ki wajah se aur us ke khaandaani sharf ki wajah se aur us ki khoobsurati ki wajah se aur us ke deen ki wajah se aur tu deendaar aurat se nikah kar ke kaamyaabi haasil kar, agar aisa na kare to tere haathon ko mitti lagegi (yani akheer mein tujh ko nadaamat hogi).

Is Hadees mein wazeh taur par is baat ka hukm diya gaya hai ke rishta tay karte waqt deendaari ka khayaal zaroor rakhna chahiye. Achcha khaandaan, achchi shakl, achchi ma'eeshat dekhna shari'at mein na mana hai aur na hi is mein koyi aib ki baat hai. Agar yeh sab ya in mein se kuch muyassar aa jaayen (yani mil jaayen) to bahut achcha hai lekin shari'at jis cheez ko in sab par muqaddam rakhne ka hukm deti hai woh deendaari hai. Bad-qismati se jab se maaddah-parasti (Materialism) ki daud (دوڑ) shuru hue hai kitne hi deendaar gharaane aise hain jo apni betiyon ko kitaab o sunnat ki taleem dilaate hain. Pakeezah aur saaf suthre mahol mein un ki tarbiyat karte hain, lekin nikah ke waqt duniya ki chamak damak se mar'oob ho kar beti ke achche mustaqbil ki tamanna mein be-deen ya bid'ati ya mushrik gharaanon mein apni betiyan biyaah dete hain aur yeh taswwur kar lete hain ke beti naye ghar mein jaa kar apna mahol khud bacha legi. Kuch ba-himmat, saleeqa shi'aar (tameez-daar, achche saleeqe waali) aur khush-qismat khawateen ki istisnaayi (exceptional) misaalon se inkaar nahi kiya jaa sakta lekin umoomi haqaaiq yahi batlaate hain ke aisi khawateen ko baad mein badi pareshaaniyon ka saamna karna padta hai khud waliden bhi zindagi bhar haath malte reh jaate hain. Hamein is haqeeqat ko faramosh nahi karna chahiye (yani bhoolna nahi chahiye) ke Allah Taala ne aurat ke mizaaj mein doosron ko dhaalne ki bajaaye khud dhalne ki sifat ghaalib rakhi hai. Yahi wajah hai ke ahl e kitaab ki aurtein lene ki ijazat hai, unko dene ki nahi. Kam se kam deendaar gharaanon mein kafw e deen (deen mein baraabri) ka usool kisi qeemat par nazar-andaaz nahi karna chahiye. Rishta tay karte waqt yeh baat bhi zehan nasheen rehni chahiye ke nek mard o aurat ka yahi dunyawi nikah qiyamat ke din jannat mein daaimi talluq ki bunyaad banega lekin agar fareeqain mein se ek muwahhid nek aur muttaqi ho aur doosra fareeq us ke bar-aks (opposite, mukhaalif) to is duniya mein talluq nibhaane ke bawjood aakhirat mein yeh talluq toot jaayega aur jannat mein jaane waale mard ya aurat ka kisi doosre muwahhid aur nek aurat ya nek mard se nikah kar diya jaayega , lihaaza nikah ke waqt Allah Taala ka yeh irshaad e mubarak yaad rakhna chahiye:
الْخَبِيثَاتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَالْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَاتِ ۖ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَالطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَاتِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ ۖ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ​
Tarjumah: Khabees aurtein khabees mardon ke laaiq hain aur khabees mard khabees aurton ke laaiq hain aur paak aurtein paak mardon ke laaiq hain aur paak mard paak aurton ke laaiq hain. Aise paak logon ke mutalliq jo kuch bakwaas (bohtaan-baaz) kar rahe hain woh un se bilkul bari hain, un ke liye bakhshish hai aur izzat waali rozi.
