Musayyab bin Najbah Rahimahumullah Abdullah bin Mas'ood Razi Allahu 'Anhu se kehne lagey:
"Maine masjid mein chnd logon ka halqa dekha wo keh rahe thhey ke jis ne itni martabah Subhaan'Allah kaha, is ke liye itna ajar hai, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ood Razi Allahu 'Anhu farmaane lage: 'Alqamah! utthey aur mere saath chaley, jab aap ne inka halqa dekha, tou 'Alqamah se kaha: in ka dhayaan doosri taraf karen, phir jab aap ne in ka zikr sun liya tou farmaaya: ya tou tum gumrah ho ya As'haab e Muhammad ﷺ se ziyadah hidaayat waaley!"

Is se milti jhulti ek aur waqiye' ke ba'd aap ne farmaaya:
"Ya tou tum Muhammadur Rasoolullah ﷺ aur aap ke Sahaba se ziyadah hidaayat yaafta ho ya gumraahi ka raastah chun chuke ho."

Sayyiduna Ibne 'Abbas Razi Allahu Anhu khawarij se munazarah ke liye gaye, tou kehne lagey:
"Kaise aana huwa? Abdullah bin 'Abbas Razi Allahu Anhu kehte hain: maine kaha: main muhajireen wa ansaar sahaba ki taraf se aap ke paas is liye aaya hon ke aap ko inki wahi par mabni rai se aagah kar sakon, Qur'an in ki maujoodgi mein nazil huwa aur wo wahi ko aap se ziyadah jaantey thhey."

Imam Haakim ne ise Muslim ki shart par "Sahih" kaha hai aur Hafiz Zehbi Rahimahullah ne in ki muwaafiqat ki hai.

Umar bin Abdul Aziz Rahimahullah (died: 101 hijri) ne munkireen e taqdeer ke rad mein farmaaya:
"Jo Qur'an aap padh rahe hain, yehi salaf ne padha tha, is ka salaf ne jo mana' o tafseer kiya, aap is se jahil aur korey reh gaye, wo aap ke paish kardah dalaayil padhne ke bawajood qazaa o qadr ke qaayil thhey."
(Sunan Abi Dawood: 4612, Ash-Shari'ah Lil Ajurri: 223 Wa Sanadahu Hasan)

Allamah Maqrizi Rahimahullah (died: 845 hijri) likhtey hain:
"Kalaam e salaf se doori aur sadr e awwal ke aqeedeh se inhiraaf har bid'at ki jad hai."
(Al-Mawaiz wa al-'i'tibar bi dhikr al-khitat wa al-'athar: 4/198)

Allamah Shatibi Rahimahullah (died: 790 hijri) likhtey hain:
"Is par koi daleel hoti, tou iska faham Sahaba wa Tabayeen se ghaib reh jaana mumkin nahi tha, ke ba'd waaley ise samahjte, salaf ne agar koi aamal chora tou wo daleel ke durust mafhoom se naabalad honey ki bina par nahi chora hai, balke wo daleel ke sahih mafhoom se waaqif thhey, mutakhireen mein salaf ka mukhalif aamal agar aagaya hai tou wo salaf ke ijmaa' ke khilaaf honey ki wajah se mardood hoga, ummat e muhammadi ﷺ gumraahi par jama' nahi ho sakti, lehaza salaf jis kaam ke karne ya chorne par muttafiq hon, wahi sunnat aur mo'tabar hai aur wahi hidaayat hai, kisi kaam mein do hi ihtimaal hotey hain, durusti ya khata aur salaf ki mukhalifat karne waala yaqeenan khatakaar hai."

❁ Neez likhtey hain:
"In tamaam umoor ko paish e nazar rakhtey huwey shrayee' daleel mein tadabbur karne waaley har shaksh ke liye salaf ke faham o aamal ka paas rakhna farz hai, kiyunke wahi durusti ke ziyadah qareeb aur ilm o aamal mein pokhta hain."

❁ Mazeed likhtey hain:
"Aap islam ki taraf mansoob tamaam bid'aaton ko dekhenge ke wo apni bid'at par daleel e sharayee' se istedlaal karta hai, phir ise apni aql o khawish ke mutaabiq dhaal leyte hain."
(Al-'Itisaam: 1/134)

❁ Mazeed farmaatey hain:
"Bachen bachen! salaf ki mukhalifat se bachen, mutakhireen ke ikhtiyaar kardah kaamo mein fazilat hoti tou salaf in kaamo ko zaroor apna letey."
(Al-Muwaafaqaat: 3/56)

❁ Mazeed likhtey hain:
"Ahle bid’at beeson in kaamo ko mustahab jaantey hain, jin par kitaab o sunnat mein daleel hi nahi aur na salaf ne wo kaam kiye hain, bid'aati is tarha ke kaam dawaam ke saath kartey hain aur inhien apne liye waazeh rasstah aur sunnat ghair mu'aarazah samahjte hain, balke baaz awqaat ise wajib bhi qaraar detey hain."

Hafiz Ibne Abdul Hadi Rahimahullah (died: 744 hijri) likhtey hain:
"Kisi aayat ya hadees ka aisa mafhoom wa matlab leyna jayiz nahi, jo zamana e salaf mein nahi tha, salaf ne yeh mafhoom nahi samjha tha aur ummat ke liye bayaan nahi kiya tha, agar aisa mafhoom leyna jayiz samjha jaaye tou maanna padhega salaf is baat ki haqeeqat se waqif na ho sake aur ba'd mein aane waala haqeeqat ko paa gaya."

Imam Ibn al-Anbari Rahimahullah (died: 328 hijri) farmaatey hain:
"Jis shakhs ne Qur'an e kareem ki tafseer mein apni khawish se aisi baat kahi, jo ayimma e salaf se saabit nahi, agar wo durust hai, tou bhi ghalat hai, kiyunke is ne Qur'an e kareem par aisa hukm lagaya hai, jis ki daleel nahi jaanta tha aur na hi wo is baare mein ahle asar o naql (salaf) ke mazhab par waaqif huwa hai."

Shaykh ul Islam Ibne Taymiya Rahimahullah (died: 728 hijri) likhtey hain:
"Sahaba wa Tabayeen ka Qur'an ki tafseer mein ek qaul ho aur ba'd waaley apne mazhab ki taayid mein is qaul ke khilaaf baat keh den, tou yeh andaaz e fikr Sahaba wa Tabayeen waala nahi, balke mushrikeen aur mu'tazilah waala hai, khulasa e kalaam yeh ke mazhab e Sahaba wa Tabayeen ke mukhaalif baat kehne waala khatakaar balke bid'aati hai, agar mujtahid huwa, tou is par ajar paayega, hummara maqsad ilm ke raaston aur dalaayil ka bayaan aur in mein se durust raastey ki nishaandihi hai, humme ma'loom hai ke Qur'an Sahaba, Tabayeen aur Taba'-Tabayeen ne padha tha aur wo log Qur'an ka mana' o tafseer hum se is tarha ziyadah jaantey, jis tarha haq hum se ziyadah jaantey thhey, tou jis ne in ki mukhaalifat mein baat kahi ya tafseer e Qur'an mein in ki mukhaalifat ki wo daleel o madlool dono mein khatakaar hai."

Allamah Ibne Qayyim Rahimahullah (died 751 hijri) likhtey hain:
"Hum salaf aur ayimma e sunnat ke khilaaf Qur'an ki tafseer bayaan karney se do baaton mein se ek baat lazim aati hai, bayaan karne waala khudh ghalat hoga ya salaf ke aqwaal ghalat honge aur kisi aqalmand ke liye is mein shak ki gunjaaish nahi ke salaf ki mukhalifat karney waaley ki baat ghalti aur khata par mabni hai."

Maqsad yeh hai ke agar eid e milaad ka koi sharayee' saboot ya jawaaz hota, tou salaf e saleheen aur ayimma e ahle sunnat milaad mananey mein pehal kartey, agar inhon ne yeh kaam nahi kiya tou yaqeenan jayiz nahi hai.

Allamah Ibne Abi al-'Izz Hanafi (died: 792 hijri) likhtey hain:
"Baaz mashroo' kaam se ay'raaz baraat kar aise kaam ghadne lagey hain, jis ka shari'at se ta'alluq hi nahi."
(Sharah al-Aqeedah at-Tahaawiyah: 593)

Allamah Suyuti (died: 911 hijri) likhtey hain:
"Ahle bid'at ke mukhtalif giroh hain, yeh baatil aqaayid ke haamil hain aur dalaayil e qur'aaniya ko apni aara ke mutabiq dhaal letey hain, in ki rawaaye aur in ki bayaan kardah tafseer Sahaba wa Tabayeen ki aara o tafseer se hat kar hoti hain."
